The South Down Boat Club is a private club within South Down Shores. To be a member of the South Down Boat Club you must be a South Down property owner and you must own a dry berth or a slip within South Down. South Down Boat Club members pay annual Boat Club Dues and user fees associated with the use of slips, dry berths, and personal water craft (PWC) moorings.
South Down's Private Marina
is governed by the South Down Boat Club. The Boat Club's Charter and Board of Directors are listed below. The South Down Boat Club holds meetings to discuss issues related to the operation of the South Down's marina.
South Down Boat Club Charter
To maintain, manage, and control the boating facilities at South Down Shores consistent with the covenants, restrictions, and easements of South Down.
Consistent with the Covenants, Restrictions, and Easements of South Down, and Consistent with the organization of the Boat Club for the purposes of administering the boat facilities by the owners thereof for the benefit of both owners of the boat facilities and for the benefit of all members of the South Down Recreation Association, the Board of Directors of the Boat Club will direct and control standards important to both the Boat Club and the South Down Recreation Association. These shall include but not limited to, aesthetic maintenance of the area, quality and timeliness of repairs, adoption and enforcement of rules and regulations, adherence to the Boat Club by-laws and overall financial responsibilities and the effectiveness of management.
