Last July Eversource gave us notice of an increase that adjusted the Energy Supply pricing on your utility bill by 112%, effective 8/1/22. Energy Supply is over 50% of your bill, so this would have significantly increased your total electric bill. Fortunately, we have alternatives for this portion of your bill, and we were able to recommend that you switch your Electrical Supply over to Direct Energy that offered an opportunity to save 40% over this portion of your bill. For those of you that took advantage of the "Live Brighter 28" offer from Direct Energy, you will still be saving 30% over the new Eversource Supply rates going into effect on 2/1/23.  

For those that did not sign up with Direct Energy back in July 2022, there is still a way for you to save 14% on Supply costs through Direct Energy by signing up for the "Go Green 24" offer. This will reduce the newly announced Eversource rate of $.2022/kwh to $.1749/kwh once effective and this will appear on your Eversource bill. It can take 1 billing cycle to be effective. 

We recommend you contact Direct Energy to move your electrical supply source to them. They will then make this change with Eversource for you. Their contact number is : 844-249-7816 . Ask for Carrie if she is available to make this change over easy for you. Have your latest Eversource Bill handy as she will need account information found on your bill. 

The NH Public Utility Commission has approved a 112% increase in the Electrical Supply Rate effective 

August 1, 2022. It will move current pricing from $.1067 to $.2257/kwh. The Supply portion of your 

Eversource bill represents nearly 50% of the total bill and this new rate will be in effect for the next 6 months. 

For many this could result in an increase of over $100/mo. to what you are currently paying.

Direct Energy is a company we have used in the past as an alternative to Eversource for electrical supply and we find that their Live Brighter 28-Month Plan is the most competitive in our area now. Below is the link to Direct Energy's rate plan for $.1359/kwh which is 60% below the new Eversource rate going into effect. 

We recommend you contact Direct Energy immediately to move your electrical supply source to them. They will then change this with Eversource for you. Their contact numbers is: 844-249-7816. Ask for Carrie if she is available.

What you will need:

• You will need your recent Eversource Bill in order to supply Direct Energy with your Eversource Account information.
  
• You will need your Eversource Account Number and your Service Reference Number, Service Address and Name of Account Holders.
